أثر توظيف استراتيجية (ليد) في تنمية مهارات سرعة وفهم القراءة لدى طلبة الصف الرابع الأساسي في غزة



This study aimed at finding out the impact of the LEAD strategy on the development of reading speed and comprehension skills among the fourth grade students in Gaza. The researcher prepared a cognitive test for reading comprehension skills, a note card for reading speed skills, and a teacher guide in this regard. The study sample consisted of 78 female students of the basic fourth grade, distributed over two semesters in the Al-Amal Intermediate School for Girls affiliated to UNRWA in Khan Younis. The study adopted the experimental approach. Main Results: 1) There are statistically significant differences at a significance level of α≤0.05 between the average scores of the students in the experimental group and their peers in the control group in the post-application of the speed reading note card in favor of the experimental group. 2) There are statistically significant differences at a significance level of α≤0.05 between the average scores of the students in the experimental group and their peers in the control group in the post-test of comprehension reading skills in favor of the experimental group. Main Recommendations: The study recommended the need to replace the traditional teaching methods by the modern ones, and to use LEAD strategy in this context to achieve the required level of interaction and activity in the classroom environment and develop reading speed and comprehension skills among students.
