This study aims to construct a cognitive test to measure how much physical education students at Jordanian universities know about biomechanics. The researcher utilizes the descriptive method due to its appropriateness for the sample of the study, a random sample of 320 male and female students were chosen, a knowledge test was constructed, it consisted of four fields (kinematics, kinetic, knowledge of biomechanics, measurement tools of biomechanics). Means and standard deviations were extracted; (T-test) for independent groups, easiness and difficulty coefficients, and correlation coefficients were used to analyze the data of the study. Results shows that physical education students have a moderate level of knowledge about the principles of biomechanics. And this knowledge is increase due to hours that the students achieve in the university, female student were better than males student regarding the level of this knowledge. (Author's abstract)
