The current research aimed that: 1) The efficiency of self-conscious among the students of the preparatory stage in the talented schools. 2) The difference in the efficiency of self-conscious among the students of the preparatory stage in the talented schools according to sex (males- females). 3) Epistemological Beliefs among the students of the preparatory stage in the talented schools. 4) The difference in the Epistemological Beliefs among the students of the preparatory stage in the talented schools according to sex (males- females). 5) The relationship between the efficiency of self-conscious and Epistemological Beliefs among the students of the preparatory stage in the talented schools. 6) The difference in the relationship between the efficiency of self-conscious and Epistemological Beliefs among the students of the preparatory stage in the talented schools depending on sex (males, females). The current search is determined by the students of the preparatory stage in the talented schools in the province of Baghdad Rusafa Educational Directorates (first, second, third) and Educational Directorates Karkh (first, second, third) of both sex (male, female) and for fourth, fifth and sixth classes. The researcher reviewed a number of theories that addressed the variables of the research, and to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher built a measure of the efficiency of self-conscious that the final form of 33 items, and depending on the social learning theory for Pandora. The researcher used the foreign measure (Schommer) to measure the Epistemological Beliefs, which is to be finalized 49 items. The researcher translates the research and extract sincerity translator has to make it appropriate for the environment of Iraq. The extracted for the two measures the discriminatory power and honesty virtual and structural, and stability in two ways Alvakronbach way and in Re-Test way. It was the application of the two scales as orally final sample the 400 students. After using statistical methods appropriate to the research results indicated the following: 1) The preparatory school students in the talented schools having outstanding high level of self-conscious competence. 2) Having a statistically significant difference in the efficiency of self-conscious Variable according to Gender (male- female) especially of males. 3) The preparatory school students have outstanding high level of Epistemological Beliefs. 4) There is a statistically significant difference in the Epistemological Beliefs Variable according to Gender (male- female), especially of males. 5) There is a statistically significant relationship between the efficiency of self-conscious and Epistemological Beliefs. 6) There is statistically significant difference between the efficiency of self-conscious and Epistemological Beliefs, Variable according to Gender (males- females). In light of these results, the researcher on the interpretation adopted in accordance with the theory and made some recommendations and suggestions. (Author’s abstract)
