أثر قراءة كتب القصص في تنمية مهارات القراءة المبكرة لدى أطفال الروضة
This study aims at exploring the effect of storybook reading to children on developing early reading among kindergartners. The study participants consisted of 106 kindergarten children at KG2 level, 54 of them were females and the rest 52 were males. They were selected purposefully from one private kindergarten in the Zarqa Educational Directorate. Children were distributed randomly into two groups; experimental and control groups. The researchers developed early reading test for kindergarten children to determine to what extent children hold early reading skills. The test was also tested in terms of validity and reliability. In order to analyse the results, Analysis of 2-way ANOVA was utilized. Results revealed statistical significant difference a=0.05 in the post test of early reading test between the two groups in favor of the experimental group, while there was no significant difference due to gender and the interaction between gender and group. In light of the study, the researchers suggested some particular recommendations for kindergarten teachers and early childhood curricula designers. (Published abstract)
