مهارات البحث العلمي لدى طلبة كلية التربية بجامعة طيبة : واقعها وآليات الارتقاء بها

Aims of the study: This study aims at: 1) Exploring current students research skills at Taibah University (College of Education). 2) Exploring performance defects and their main causes. 3) Suggesting suitable solutions for tackling such defects, enhancing research skills and providing an encouraging research environment to help students practice scientific research effectively. The researcher used descriptive analytic methodology through studying results of the following tools: Questionnaire to 130 students from the last level of the students of the College of Education. Review of University course contents for all education faculty departments. Overview the content of Library and Research subject taught at high school level. Results of the study: 1) Most of the students have little skills in research writing and search for references. 2) Apart from a course approved lately in the department of special education 1428-1429 there is no syllabus devoted to research in undergraduate programs in the Education Faculty at Taibah University. 3) Failure to implement the Library and Research subject at the level of High school as a result of both the indifference of school teachers to include such an important content and the lack of motivation of students.
