This research aimed at investigating the effectiveness of horizontal and vertical educational web sites designs on acquiring front page skills, self-learning skills, and visual thinking for student teachers of Al- Aqsa University in Palestine. The two researchers adopted the experimental approach. The research sample consisted of two experimental groups; each included 40 male and female students. The two researchers used an observation check list for measuring F. P skills, another for measuring self- learning skills and visual thinking test. The results indicated the effectiveness of the two designs on acquiring the skills besides the absence of a statistically significant difference between the two designs in acquiring front page skills and visual thinking. However, the vertical design was more effective in developing the self- learning skills among the samples. (Published Abstract)
