مستوى ممارسة الوالدين لمهارات التفكير الناقد مع أبنائهم من وجهة نظر طلاب جامعة الكويت
The study aimed to investigate to what level do parents practice critical thinking skill with their young It attempted to explore the most used tools at home to enhance critical thinking skills. It also attempted to find out the difficulties that hinder parents from practicing critical thinking skills with their young. A questionnaire was designed to measure the critical thinking practice at home. The participants included 490 students randomly picked from Kuwait University. The results of this study revealed that parents who practice critical thinking skills fall within the average levels of thinking, also studies indicated that the family utilizing tools and means that help to support critical thinking. On the other hand, difference in age and tendency among the family may oppose critical thinking, indicators show that the ratio in males is higher than in females. Additionally, statistics indicates differences among the three studied axes, depending on gender difference and the age and level of education of the child’s guardian, most favorable goes toward whom are between (30-40) years old, and whom are Master and PhD holders. Final study gave many recommendations and proposals. (Author's abstract)
