الاستقلال-الاعتماد على المجال الادراكي وعلاقته بإستراتيجية إدارة الوقت والفاعلية الذاتية لدى طلبة المرحلة الاعدادية
This current research has aimed to measure the cognitive style of the perceptual field dependent-independent and its relationship with self-efficacy, and strategy of time management for the students of preparatory schools, and revealing the relationship among the variables of research (the cognitive style of the perceptual field dependent-independent, time management strategy, and self-efficacy) according to the gender (male/female), and the academic discipline (scientific/ humanistic). In addition to reveal correlation between cognitive styles of the perceptual field dependent-independent, time management strategy and self-efficacy for the students of preparatory schools. The sample has consisted of 613 students, selecting by the arbitrary equal method about 6% from the total essence of sample amounting 10220 students from the preparatory schools in Mosul city center. In order to achieve the aims of the research, the researchers has adopted figure embedded test to measure the perceptual field dependent- independent preparing by (Witkin, 1977), translated into Arabic by Al- Sharqawi and Al-Shaikh 1988, as well as the researcher has prepared the two scales of time management strategy and self-efficacy. After analyzing data, then the results that have been reached by researcher were: the students of the preparatory schools have tended to be between field independent and dependent then dependent and independent, their level application for time management is good, and having high level of self-efficacy, while the relationship among the independent cognitive style, and gender (male, female) and the academic discipline (scientific/ humanistic), has no significance, the same thing may be said on the relationship between the self-efficacy, gender and specialization. Whereas the study showed that there are statistical relationship between dependent cognitive style and the gender type in favor of females and scientific discipline in favor of the students of scientific discipline, and the time management with gender in favor of females while the academic specialization in favor of the students of humanistic. Then the degree of effect of independent- dependent dimension on the time management strategy is considered good while their effect on self-efficacy is considered low. According to these results, the researcher has introduced some recommendations such as: encouraging the teachers of preparatory schools on how they postulate learning situations contributing in developing of independence and self-efficacy for their students, as well as the sound management rules for their selves and times, taking into consideration the individual differences. In addition to suggest making field study examining the relationship of the perceptual field dependent-independent with intelligence, and spatial ability, or Constricted, patience, and decision making for a sample of the students of preparatory schools and universities.
