This study aimed to reveal the extent of the history teachers' knowledge and practice of the constructive learning principles and propositions in the secondary stage in Iraq. The study has followed the descriptive method. And the study sample consisted of (84) male and female teachers who teach the history subject in AL-Nasiriya Directorate of Education. To achieve the study goals, two instruments have been applied in the first study, questionnaire that consisted of (18) items to measure the knowledge degree, and a Note Card has distributed to the study sample consisted of (23) items to measure the practicing degree, and applied to (24) male and female teachers from the same sample individuals.The results revealed that the history teacher's knowledge degree and practice of the principles and hypotheses of the constructive learning model was low. Also the results showed the absence of differences with statistically significance in the degree of knowledge and practice attribute to the variable (gender, experience and the number of the training courses. In the light of the study results the researcher has introduced a set of recommendations. (Author’s abstract)
