The present research aims at: 1) Measuring the self– confidence level on blind students. 2) Identifying the effect of training program to improve self– confidence level on blind students. In order to achieve that, the researcher has paused the following hypothesis. A) There are no statistically significant differences between the rank marks of the students according to Self– confidence standard between the experimental group and control group before applying the training program at 0.05 level of significance. B) There are no statistically significant differences between the rank marks of the students according to self– confidence standard between the experimental group and the control group after applying the training program at 0.05 level of significance. 3) Identifying the significance of differences in the self– confidence level of the members of experimental group according to the variables A) gender, B) class year. The sample of the research consists of 22 students of Al– Noor institute for blinds who were chooser in tertiary. In order to achieve the aims of the research, the research has prepared the self– confidence standard including 52 cusses divided according to (three) fields (family’s) (academic educational) and (emotional personal). The face validity was taken out through showing them to specialist jury member in education and psychology and the cases were also analyzed statistically. The discrimination power were found and the psychometric feature of the self- confidence standard which is the validity showed through (the relation of the case with total mark and the relation of a field with the other fields. reliability rate, by using Alpha– combat and reapplying the test). Finally the standard consists of 47 cases, then it has been applied on the Sample of the research which includes 22 students. The students were chosen intently from the students who get the lowest marks on the self– confidence standard. They were divided in to two groups, 11 in the experimental group and 11 in the control group and were equalized on the variables (the age counted in month, the marks of the blind students according to self– confidence slandered, gender birth order the parents qualification and the family income). A training program was mode to improve the self– confidence level consisting of 12 Session. The slandered has been applied after finishing the training Sessions, The data have been treated statistically by using (man– whiny) for medium sized sample and indicators test (Welch keen) as well as the extent of the effect. The researcher has found the following results: 1) The blind students have a self-confidence. 2) a) There are no statistically significant differences between the ranks of the students according to self– confidence stranded between the experimental and control groups in pre- test. b) There are statistically significant differences between the rank marks of the students according to self– confidence standard between the experimental and control groups after applying the training program. c) There are statistically significant differences between the rank marks of the students according to self – confidence standard between the regimental and control groups after and before applying the training program. 3) There are statistically significant differences between the rank marks of the students according to self– confidence standard between the experimental and control groups according to gender variables. 4) There are statistically significant differences between the rank marks of the students according to self– confidence standard between the experimental and control groups according to class year variables. In order to complete the research requirements, the research has made some recommendations and suggestion. (Author’s abstract)
