This study aims to identify pre-service teachers’ beliefs in Kuwait University concerning how useful some suggested actions might help reduce global warming and their willingness to undertake these same actions. This study also investigates students’ beliefs concerning if global warming is currently occurring and the impact of variables such as gender and educational major on their beliefs regarding the usefulness of these actions and their willingness to take personal action in order to reduce it. A valid and reliable questionnaire was administered to 193 students and the results showed high beliefs regarding the positive impact of most suggested actions on the environment. However, most students were not willing to undertake these various actions. The results also showed some significant differences between students’ beliefs and their willingness to act related to gender and educational major. (Published abstract)
