دراسة مقارنة لنتائج مخرجات أنظمة التعليم الثانوي العام الثلاثة (الفصلين - المقررات - الموحد) في اختبار القدرات الأكاديمية بجامعة الكويت
The aim of this comparative study was to explore the relationship of the outputs of secondary education systems exemplified in the traditional system (two semesters), the credit system and the unified system- with the academic aptitude tests, provided by university of Kuwait. To achieve the objectives of the study the researcher employed the content analysis method which is the appropriate method of research in achieving the Goals Set for this study. The researcher also used percentages and statistical means in the analysis of the study data. The results showed that the credit system was the preferred option for the majority of students in secondary school. Analysis of the results for the aptitude tests also showed that the traditional system students had higher academic performance than both the credit system and unified system students in the three courses during the past years. The male students in the traditional system scored higher than their male counterparts in the credit system, and the female students also scored higher than their female counterparts in the credit System. The results of the study were interpreted in the light of previous studies presented earlier. (Published abstract)
