The study aims at investigating reality of e-learning and obstacles of implementing it in university education as perceived by students of Hebron University. The study addressed two domains: reality of e-learning at Hebron University and investigating obstacles of implementing it as perceived by students of Hebron University. 404 students were chosen via random stratified sample. To collect data, a questionnaire was used after assuring its validity and reliability. Results were assured via standardized interviews. Findings of the first domain showed that the Hebron University has 12 internet labs containing 338 computer sets which are used by students and for training instructors. Results also showed that the e-learning courses were 26% of all university courses. There are also a computer set for each instructor in addition to email and free access to internet. The numbers of the technicians were less than needed compared to numbers of labs. Results of the second domain showed some obstacles that hinder the use of e-learning in the university, some of which are: the numbers of the technicians are not so enough for helping all students on how to deal with e-learning, lack of students’ knowledge of up-to-date technologies, numerousness of students’ courses at the same semester, absence of e-learning workshops. Moreover, results showed that females have less knowledge in using e-learning techniques than male students have. Students of arts and share ’a showed less knowledge in using e-learning compared to the rest of the faculties at Hebron university. First and second year students showed less experience in using e-learning than their mates in the third and the fourth year. In light of the results, the study recommended some recommendations and suggestions. (Author's abstract)
