Objective of this research is to find out (effectiveness of the strategies of the mental map and the self-questioning in the collection of fifth-grade female students in a substance literary history of Europe and America, Modern & Contemporary). Interviewer has formulated the following hypotheses: 1) There is no difference statistically significant at the level of significance 0.05 between the average scores of the experimental group to collect students who are studying the first material history of the European strategy for the adoption of a mind map, and the average scores between the collection of the control group students who teach according to the traditional method. 2) There is no difference statistically significant at the level of significance 0.05 between the average scores of the experimental group students to collect the second of history who are studying the European adoption of self-questioning, and the average grades collectible control group students who teach according to the traditional method. 3) There is no difference statistically significant at the level of significance 0.05 between the average scores of the experimental group students to collect the first women studying material history of the European strategy for the adoption of a mind map, and the average scores between the collection of the second experimental group students who teach adopt a strategy of self-questioning. And limited current research on a sample of students in the fifth grade literary in one primary or secondary school in the province of Baghdad / Karkh II / spend Mahmudiyah for the academic year 2013- 2014, and the teaching of the last four quarters of the history book for fifth grade literary They (the unification of Italy and the DFB and the emergence of a system of colonialism, war first World, the international situation between the two world wars, World War II). The researcher used the experimental design of a partial seizure, and achievement test for the three groups (two experimental and the other officer). Chose researcher Qsidia junior Mahmudiyah for girls between the middle and high schools affiliated to the Directorate of Education to spend Mahmudiyah in Baghdad province, and the number of students of the fifth grade literary research sample 94 students randomly distributed into three groups, the first experimental group includes 32 students studied using the map mental, and the second experimental group includes 30 studied the use of self-questioning, and the other officer includes 32 students studied in the usual way. Rewarded researcher between students in the two variables chronological age of the students, and grades of history in the fifth grade literary, and educational attainment of the parents has formulated a researcher 140 target behaviorally and readied plans teaching the subjects of history in the light of the book’s content and behavioral objectives formulated, and began seeking to apply the experience on Sunday 2/23/2013 and ended on Tuesday, 04/05/2014 applying achievement test the final component of 50 paragraph after it was confirmed a researcher of sincerity, and persistence, and the level of difficulty of paragraphs, and effective alternatives wrong, and the forces of discrimination paragraphs have been used researcher in data processing statistical methods the following: analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation coefficient, and the equation Sbierman- Brown, and Chi-square (Ca 2), the equation of the difficulty, and the equation coefficient of discrimination, and the equation of effective alternatives, and after the use of analysis of variance in the data processing, resulted in study conclusion: that the strategies of the mental map and the question of self-proven in terms of statistical Vaalithma in teaching history to students of the fifth grade literary, in the light of this result recommended researcher definitely on the use of strategies and met cognition especially strategies mind map and questioning the self in the teaching of history, and a continuation of this research suggested that the researcher conducting research last samples in different rows, and the stages of learning another for both sexes, and in the variables of another (such tendencies, trends, and thinking critic, and creative thinking), and the other branches of study is history.
