This research aims to discover the effect of two models the model of rectangular prism for understanding styles and the generative Teaching Model on mental arithmetic and achievement of mathematics. In order to achieve the aim of the research hypothesized the following zero hypotheses: 1) There is no difference of statistically significant at the level of 0.05 among the mean of female students degrees of three research groups in mental arithmetic test. 2) There is no difference of statistically significant at the level of 0.05 among the mean of female students degrees of three research groups in achievement test. Experiment of this search Carried out on first intermediate stage female students in Al-Zahra’ secondary school for girls at the General Directorate for Education Al- Rusafa/ 1, in the academic year (2015-2014) ac, selected randomly, and consisted of 115 female students in three groups, to represent two experimental groups each group consists 35 female students and control group that consists 34 female students, 1 residuum students were excluded statistically. The researcher prepared research’s requirements involved (identify the scientific material, the formulation of behavioral objectives, and preparing lesson plans for both experimental groups and control Group after presentation to a group of competents). The researcher prepared and applied two tools the first for mental arithmetic which consisting of 30 items, including the test 16 objective paragraph the type of multiple choice for four options, and 14 essay paragraphs the other tool is the test of achievement consisting of 40 objective paragraphs also the type of multiple choice for four options. The psychometric characteristics for both of tools investigated. The three groups equivalences in the variables (chronological age in months, intelligence, the previous information and achievement in math in the last year). The first experimental group taught by using the Model of Rectangular Prism for understanding styles, the second experimental group taught by using the Generative Teaching Model, and the control group taught by using the ordinary method. The researcher applied both of research tools after completion studying the textbook items on the female students of three groups. The researcher use many statistical tools to analysis data to reach to the results of his research like (statistical bag SPSS version 20, the coefficient of difficulty ltem, the coefficient of discrimination Item, effectiveness of wrong variables, One - Way ANOVA, Scheffe Test, and the equation Kuder- Richardson -20). This research reaches to the following results: 1) There are existing differences of statistically significant at the level of 0.05 between the two experimental groups and control group in the variables of mental arithmetic and achievement in behalf the two experimental groups. 2) There is no difference of statistically significant at the level of 0.05 between the two experimental groups in the variables of mental arithmetic and achievement.
