The study aimed to identify the obstacles of using the internet which faced by students in the department of mathematics, faculty of education-University of Aden as well as understanding size of obstacles according to academic level and sex. The study sample consisted of 181 students from four grades levels in the department of mathematics. The researchers used a questionnaire included three main fields. The paragraphs included obstacles of using internet among students, it has been conducted by reliability and validity. The study showed that the mean of the three obstacles ranged between 1.51-2.31 according to the relative ranking of each obstacle, where obstacle of educational process occupied the first level 2.31 while the self possibilities obstacle came at last level by 1.51. the study also showed a statistically significance differences between third-level students and the first level concerning self possibilities for students of the first level. The researchers used t-test, that showed no statistically significance differences among the three areas between males and females. In light of these results, the study recommended several recommendations, including: 1) emphasize the importance of using the internet in all fields, especially learning, and the faculty, provide the necessary capabilities that help to use it effectively. 2) Establishment of workshops and training sessions for students about the importance of the use of the internet and employ them in a student’s academic and public life. 3) Establishment of a digital library for faculty leading to improve service and enhance the educational process. 4) Construct a site for the department of mathematics includes online courses and scientific information that is important for staff members and students in the faculty.
