Study objectives: This study aimed to: 1) Identify the multimedia availability in the intermediate stage schools in the City of Jeddah. 2) Identify the degree of the Arabic language teachers’ mastery over the utilization of multimedia in teaching Arabic language subjects. 3) Identify the hindrances of the teachers’ employment of multimedia in teaching Arabic language subjects from the perspective of their educational supervisors. 4) Understanding the statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the teachers’ and educational supervisors' standpoints in respect of their utilization of multimedia in teaching Arabic language subjects in view of the variables ( years of experience, academic qualifications, training courses). Study Questions: The main study questions had been subdivided into the following sub questions: 1) What is the degree of multimedia utilization in teaching Arabic language subjects at the intermediate stage in the City of Jeddah? 2) What is the degree of proficiency of the teachers in utilizing multimedia in teaching Arabic language subjects? 3) What are the impediments hindering the teachers usage of multimedia in teaching Arabic language subjects from their viewpoint and the standpoint of their educational supervisors? 4) Were there statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the teachers, and those of their educational supervisors with respect to the teachers’ utilization of multimedia in teaching Arabic language subjects? 5) Where there statistically significant differences between the perspective of the teachers pertaining to their degree of utilizing multimedia in teaching Arabic language, in view of the variables ( years of experience, academic qualifications, training courses). Study Methodology: The researcher employed the questionnaire as his data-gathering device: the instrument had been administered to a sample comprised of 26 educational supervisors, and 232 teachers at the intermediate stage in the City of Jeddah, kingdom of Saudi Arabia; the study involved 6 education offices, in: Al-Naseem, Safa, The middle, South, North and East. Study Results: The study reached that the degree of multimedia utilization in the intermediate stage schools in the City of Jeddah was to some extent: the teachers’ proficiency of multimedia utilization in teaching Arabic language subjects was “medium” and the barriers of the teachers’ employment of multimedia in teaching Arabic language subjects at the intermediate stage schools were at a “high degree”. Study Recommendations: Based upon the results obtained in this study, the researcher put forward these recommendations: 1) Multimedia should be made available at the intermediate stage schools. 2) Training courses should be held to promote teachers skills in the field of multimedia utilization in teaching Arabic language subjects. 3) Workshops and lectures should be conducted with the objective of formulating possible and appropriate solutions to eliminate the obstacles facing the teachers when teaching Arabic language subjects, and through exchanging experiences among teachers, school principals, and educational supervisors.
