This paper aims to explore the impact of the strategy of maps in the development of the religious concepts for the students at the intermediate school, first year in the subject at Islamic education to achieve this aim the research has coinced two major assumptions according to the method of varying teaching to measure the effect of this variable method which leads to develop these religious concepts. The sample of this research has been of 54 students which the researcher has selected from two school for males in the city of Mosul for the academic year 2012-2013. They were distributed according to the design of equal groups in a number of variables overall average grade for the sixth stage primary of Islamic education. to achieve this experiment, the researcher has prepared certain studying plans according to the cognitive strategic maps and the normal method and then began to teach both groups. To measure the dependant variable, the researcher prepared a test of concepts to be finalized by 36 items of the two types corresponding to the element of the definition and multiple choice for elemental example, the application being one of the testes objectivity that gives accurate results. Upon completion of the experiment finder applied to members of the research sample in schools specified in the experiment. After collecting the data and statistically analyzed using appropriate statistical methods. Results showed: 1) there is a statistically significance difference between the mean scores of pretest and posttest for the experimental group who studied using cognitive maps strategy at remembering. 2) There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of pretest and posttest for the experimental group who studied using cognitive maps strategy at the level of absorption. 3) There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of pretest and posttest for the experimental group who studied using cognitive maps strategy at the application level. 4) There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group who studied using cognitive maps strategy and degrees of the control group who studied using the usual way in the post0test of religious concepts as a whole. In the light of the results of the researcher concluded the effectiveness of cognitive maps strategy in the development of religious concepts among students in the first grade average in Islamic Education.
