Set the goal of the current research to know the effectiveness of the teaching by using power point presentation in achievement of physics and the scientific curiosity for the students of the first intermediate grade, and to achieve the objective of this research was drafted the following two hypotheses:1) There is no difference of statistical marker at level 0.05 between the marks average of the students of the experimental group who have studied using Power Point Presentation and the marks average of the standard group who have studied in the traditional manner concerning the achievement. 2) There is no difference of statistical marker at level 0.05 between the marks average of the students of the experimental group who have studied using Power Point Presentation and the marks average of the standard group who have studied in the traditional manner concerning Scientific Curiosity. Current search was limited to the first intermediate grade students in the secondary Schools affiliated to AL- Qadisiyah General Directorate of Education for the academic year (2012-2013). he researcher used the experimental design for community research component of the first-graders Intermediate Grade, the secondary School (Abi Trap) was deliberately chosen represent the research sample, the number of students 60 distributed over two divisions the students of Division (a) were chosen in random to represent the experimental group and the Division (b) to represent the standard group, and the number of students 31 of the experimental group and 29 for the standard group. Equal been verified sets of through age schedule and previous achievement and IQ test and the previous information and scale of scientific curiosity. The researcher built search tools that was tested Achievement consisting of 40 items of the type of multiple choice, as well as the researcher built measure Scientific Curiosity consisting of 50 items, after conducting statistical analysis fell 10 items and thus the standard became consisting of 40 items, and the researcher built program for Power Point Presentation. The experiment was implemented in the second semester, which was the beginning of actual teaching (03/03/2013) and the end of the actual teaching (30/04/2013). For the results the data were processed statistically by using test (t-test) for two independent samples and the results showed the following: 1) There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group students who were studying physics in a way Power Point Presentation and degrees of standard group students who were studying the same material in the traditional manner in the final achievement test. 2) There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group students who were studying physics in a way Power Point Presentation and degrees of standard group students who were studying the same article in the traditional manner to test a scale scientific curiosity. On the basis of this, the researcher has made a number of recommendations and suggestions. (Published abstract)
