The current research problem is defined in the role the school press plays in satisfying the gifted students academically. Study significance: The study is significant for being one of the strong effective media activities inside school; in order to satisfy students’ needs, acquiring them as well lots of knowledge and values. Those talented students are remarkably important in community, so their needs should be fulfilled properly. Unfortunately, the studies tackled with such topic are rare; hence, the study recommends establishing an information database contributes in strategic decision-making and setting bases of care of the gifted children on a scientific basis. The study focuses on children journalism as one of the public sources for children maintaining beneficial information that develop their abilities and talents. Study Objectives: The study drives at identifying the role of the school wall journals in satisfying students’ needs in the second stage of the basic education and the extent to which these journals fulfill students' needs and information. It also aims at identify the nature of the topics the highly academically achieved students prefer in these journals. Study Type & Method: The study belongs to the field type of studies using the total survey. The sample is aged from 12-15 yrs. old, using Chi Square and Z Test for percentage difference. Results: Results indicate non-existence as a significant statistical relation between the two sexes (males/females) regarding their reading rate of wall newspapers. Results also report that lack of participation in school press group because students are involved in other activities. (Published abstract)
