The study aimed to explore the relationship between mindfulness and symptoms of psychological depression and to examine the effectiveness of a mindfulness training to decrease the Symptoms of Psychological Depression among university student The sample of the study consisted of 24 non clinical student (of 225 student as a total community), whose ages ranged between 19-23 years (M. 20.12 and S.D. 0.78), it has divided to two homogenous groups (experimental and control group). They required to apply the mindfulness test and Beck’s inventory for depression (D-II). The Mindfulness training program (designed by the researchers) was applied for experimental group for 18 training sessions. Results of the study indicated that: negative statistically significant correlation was found between sample’s study scores in mindfulness test and their scores in Beck’s inventory for depression, in addition, symptoms of psychological depression can be predicted by Mindfulness, and awareness was more predictable to symptoms of psychological depression than acceptance. Also, the results showed statistically significant enhancing mindfulness skills and statistically significant decreasing symptoms of psychological depression after applying the training program and follow up period.
