أثر استخدام أسلوب التدريس التبادلي في تنمية مهارات فهم المقروء لدى طلبة الصف الثالث المتوسط في محافظة القريات بالمملكة العربية السعودية
This study was conducted to investigate the impact of the reciprocal teaching method in developing reading comprehension skills amongst 9th grade students in the Saudi Governorate of Qurayat. The study sample comprised 61 boys who were divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. Reciprocal teaching approach was implemented in the teaching of the experimental group, while the traditional method was used with the control group. A test was administered to measure students’ reading comprehension skills. Findings revealed statistically significant differences between the two groups. Such substantial differences in the post-test in favor of the experimental group could be attributed to certain variables; namely: teaching style, students’ achievement level and the interaction thereof. Also, within the experimental group, there were statistically significant differences that could be attributed to students’ general achievement level in favor of high-level achievers, followed by mid-level achievers, then by low-level achievers.
