This study aimed to explore the effective role of the family monitoring in supporting Islamic ethical values. The study tried to answer the main question: What is the role of the family monitoring in supporting ethical values of university students from the point of view of second level students’ parents at the faculty of education, university of Khartoum? The study has four sub-questions. The researchers used the descriptive analytical methodology, and a questionnaire was designed. The study sample was 106 parents representing 15.1% of the total population. The major findings of the study were: the Sudanese society is conservative towards ethical values and does not accept the destruction of ethical values. The family direct guidance and the quiet dialogue support the Islamic ethical values, and bad company is the most important factor of the destruction of ethical values. The study was concluded with many recommendations, the most important are: Holding up with Quran and Sunna in bringing up university students, the importance of holding up with religion to develop ethical values, the importance of integrating family and university efforts to protect ethical values, the university should pay attention to outdoor activities such as sport, cultural, social, and political activities which reduce the destruction of the ethical values of university students.
