This study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of minor games and movement stories in the development of some of habits of mind (listening , thinking flexibility, persisting) in kindergarten students. Moreover, it aimed at identifying the effectiveness in the selected habits of mind according to group and gender in each group. The researchers used an experimental technique that includes, one experimental group (12 students) and one control group (12 students). The researchers designed a program of small games and Movement stories included 27 games and stories. Furthermore, a 18 item instrument that distributed into three habits (listening, thinking flexibility, persisting) was used to assess the habits of mind. The results of the study revealed that there were significant differences between the Pretest and posttest, in favor of the posttest for experimental group. However, in the control group there were significant differences in thinking flexibility in favor of the pretest. Regarding the other two habits of mind, there were no significant differences. Moreover the results showed that there were significant differences between the two groups whereas the experimental group was superior to the control group in the three habits of mind. Regarding the differences according to gender, there were no significant differences in habits of mind between males and females except in listening. (Author's abstract)
