الذكاء الوجداني وعلاقته بالثقة بالنفس لدى طلاب الجامعة: دراسة ميدانية على عينة من طلاب القطب الجامعي -تامدة- بجامعة تيزي وزو
This research aimed to study the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-confidence. It also, aimed to know the effects of gender (males- females) and specialization (scientific- human) on emotional intelligence and self-confidence. The sample of the study was consisted of 450 students (225 males and 225 females) at “Tamda” Annex University. In order to collect the data, we used two scales: emotional intelligence scale (of Ahmad Al-Alwan), and self- confidence scale (of Sidney Shrauger). To analyze these data, we used statistical program (SPSS 8.0) which helped us to compute: the correlation coefficient of Pearson, The “t” test, means, standard deviation, percent and frequencies. The results revealed the following: 1) There is a statistically significant correlation between emotional intelligence and self- confidence. 2) There are statistically significant differences between males and females in emotional intelligence in favor of females. 3) There are statistically significant differences between males and females in self-confidence in favor of males. 4) There are statistically significant differences in the emotional intelligence between students specializing in the sciences specialties and those whom specializing in human specialty. 5) There are statistically significant differences in the self-confidence between students specializing in the sciences specialties and those whom specializing in the human specialties in favor of scientific students’.
