The aim of this study is to detect the level of professional stress on teachers in primary school from the Directorate of Education in Blida and Tipaza and also to reveal the main sources behind the emergence of this professional stress with those teachers. In addition, this study aimed to identify of the level of self-esteem among primary school teachers and at last to detect the correlation between the variables of professional stress and the level of self-esteem. This study was conducted on a sample of (115) teachers (male, female) teaching in primary school. The researcher reached the following results: - The presence of high professional stress with (66.08%) of primary school teachers, where this stress is related to working conditions, burdens of the profession, pupils and their parents, educational policy, wages, incentives, professional relations, the professional growth and development and social status. - The presence of a low level of self-esteem (60%) of primary school teachers. There is an inverse correlation between sources of professional stress and self-esteem. (Published Abstract)
