The present research aims to explore the correlation between self-perceived efficacy and achievement motivation among the students of the second grade in secondary schools in the city of Hama, and to Identify significant differences in the self-perceived efficacy and achievement motivation depending on the variables of sex (males and females) and academic major (Science and literature). Two scales for the measurement of self-perceived efficacy and of achieve¬ment motivation was applied to a sample of students from second grade secondary sections of scientific & literary, composed of 203. Male and Female students were selected using simple random sample. The present research emphasized the following results: 1) There is a statistically significant correlation 0.01 between Self-perceived efficacy and achievement motivation among the students of the second grade in the secondary schools in the city of Hama. 2) There are statistically significant differences in the Self-perceived efficacy according to the variable of academic major for students of science. 3) There are no statistically significant differences in the Self-perceived efficacy according to the variable of sex. 4) There are no statistically significant differences in achievement motivation, according to the variable of academic major. 5) There are no statistically significant differences in achievement motivation according to sex.
