هدفت هذه الدراسة للكشف عن درجة استخدام الهاتف النقال من قبل طلبة تخصص تكنولوجيا التعليم في جامعة جدارا في التواصل الأكاديمي والاجتماعي ومعيقات استخدامه من وجهة نظرهم. ولتحقيق ذلك الهدف طورت أداة لقياس درجة الاستخدام والمعوقات توافر فيها درجة الصدق والثبات المناسبة، ومن ثم توزيعها على أفراد الدراسة والبالغ عددهم 85 طالبا وطالبة، خلال الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الدراسي الجامعي 2011-2012. كشفت نتائج الدراسة أن درجة استخدام طلبة تخصص تكنولوجيا التعليم في جامعة جدارا الهاتف النقال في التواصل الأكاديمي والاجتماعي جاءت بدرجة متوسطة. وكشفت نتائج الدراسة أن المعيقات التي تحد من استخدام الهاتف النقال من قبل طلبة تخصص تكنولوجيا التعليم في التواصل الاجتماعي والأكاديمي جاءت بدرجة متوسطة. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة عدم وجود فرق دال إحصائيا في درجة استخدام الهاتف النقال في التواصل الأكاديمي يعزى لمتغير الجنس، وبينت وجود فرق دال إحصائيا في درجة استخدام الهاتف النقال في التواصل الاجتماعي ولصالح الإناث. وأوصت الدراسة بإجراء المزيد من الدراسات حول درجة استخدام الهاتف النقال في الجانب الأكاديمي مع باقي التخصصات، وإجراء دراسات حول الهاتف النقال وأثره على انتباه الطلبة داخل الغرف الصفية، وعقد دورات للطلبة من أجل تعريفهم بأفضل الطرق لاستخدام الهاتف النقال في العملية التعليمية. The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of using mobile phone by education technology students at Jadara University in academic and social communication and its obstacles from their point of view. To achieve this purpose, questionnaire was developed which demonstrated adequate reliability and validity. And then distributed to members of the study numbering 85 male and female students, during the second semester of the academic year 2011-2012. The results of the study revealed that the degree of mobile phone use by education social communication was moderate. The results also revealed that the degree of obstacles of using mobile phone in academic and social communication was moderate. The results revealed that there was no significant difference in the degree of using mobile phone in the academic communication due to the variable of sex, and the results showed that there was significant difference in the degree of using of mobile phone in social communication in favor of females. The study recommended further studies on the degree of using mobile phone with the rest of academic disciplines, and conducting training courses for students in order to familiarize them with the best way to use a mobile phone in the educational process.
