هدفت الدراسة اقتراع آليات إدارية لتطوير الإدارة الذاتية للمدارس الحكومية والخاصة في محافظة جرش من وجهة نظر مديريها. تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي، والاستبانة كأداة للدراسة، وتم اختيار عينة الدراسة بالطريقة العشوائية بلغت (162) مديرا ومديرة. أظهرت النتائج أن واقع الإدارة الذاتية للمدارس الحكومية والخاصة في الأردن من وجهة نظر مديريها للأداة ككل جاء بدرجة متوسطة، وتوزعت المجالات بين الدرجتين المرتفعة والمنخفضة وكانت مرتبة على التوالي تنازليا: (المناهج الدراسية، الموازنة المالية، التسهيلات التربوية، تفويض الصلاحيات). وأظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تبعا لمتغير الجنس، أو سنوات الخبرة، أو المؤهل العلمي. The study aimed at proposing administrative mechanisms to develop self-management for public and private schools in Jerash governorate from the viewpoint of their principals, the survey descriptive method was used, and the questionnaire was used as a study tool. The study sample was randomly chosen from the capital governorate, amounting to (162) male and female principals. The finding showed that the degree of administrative mechanisms to develop self-management for public and private schools was medium, and the dimensions were distributed between high and low degree, they were in descending order, respectively: (curricula, financial budget, educational facilities, delegating powers). The findings showed that there were no statistically significant differences attributed to gender variable, years of experience, or educational qualification. (Published abstract)
