تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على أهمية الشبكة العالمية للمعلومات، فضلا عن إلقاء الضوء على الدور الريادي لها في خدمة البحث العلمي وتوحيد العلوم وكيفية الإستفادة منها في حقل الاختصاص. أظهرت النتائج إن استخدام خدمات الشبكة العالمية سيوفر الكثير من الوقت والجهد والتكاليف من خلال استثمار إمكانياتها لأداء العديد من الوظائف المتنوعة وتوفير تكلفة اقتناء العديد من مصادر المعلومات المختلفة. أوصت بضرورة اكتساب الباحث مزيد من المهارات التي تمكنه من التعامل مع التقنية المتطورة والاستفادة المثلى منها باعتبارها من مقومات بناء مجتمعات الغد، وأهمية توعية المتخصصين بتلك الخدمات وإتاحة الظروف التقنية اللازمة من برمجيات وأجهزة تسمح بتوصيل الخدمات الكترونيا وضرورة وجود جهة تدعم مشروع تصميم وإتاحة خدمات البحث العلمي على الشبكة العالمية للمعلومات. This study aims to identify the importance of the World Wide Web of Information, as well as to clarify the leading role of it in the service of scientific research and the unification of sciences and ways to benefit from them in the field of specialization. The results showed that using the services of the World Wide Web will save a lot of time, effort and costs by investing its capabilities to perform many diverse functions and saving the cost of acquiring many different sources of information. It recommended the need for the researcher to acquire more skills that enable him to deal with advanced technology and make optimum use of it as one of the elements for building the societies of tomorrow, and the importance of educating specialists about those services and providing the necessary technical conditions of software and devices that allow services to be delivered electronically, and the need for an entity to support the project design and availability of research services Science on the World Wide Web.
