The purpose of the present study was to examine EFL students’ perspectives on the effectiveness of English dramatization in developing some students’ speaking skills. In addition, it tested the impact of dramatization on developing some learners’ social skills and some self-regulated skills. To accomplish this purpose, 33 EFL first-grade intermediate female students at a middle school in the south of Saudi Arabia participated in the study. To accomplish this purpose, 33 EFL first-grade intermediate female students at a middle school in the south of Saudi Arabia participated in the study. The results of the questionnaire indicated that dramatizing English curriculum content has a positive impact on improving some students’ speaking skills, some social skills, and some self-regulated skills. The study suggests applying the drama method in teaching English. (Published abstract)
