هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن توجهات طالبات التدريب الميداني حول أهمية تدريس الفنون وفقا لمعايير جمعية (NAEYC) وتصوراتهن حول المعوقات التي تحد من جودة التدريس. سعت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن الفروق ذات الدلالة الإحصائية حول أهمية تدريس الفنون والتي تعزى إلى متغيري المنطقة الجغرافية التي تقع بها الجامعة وعدد المقررات الدراسية التي تستهدف تدريس الفنون. ولتحقيق الأهداف تم اتباع المنهج الوصفي المسحي وكذلك بناء استبانة وفقا لمعايير جمعية NAEYC والتحقق من صدقها وثباتها ثم تطبيقها على (446) طالبة. أظهرت النتائج: اتفاق الطالبات على أهمية تدريس الفنون وعلى وجود عدد من المعوقات، وكذلك وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى إلى متغيري المنطقة الجغرافية وعدد المقررات التي تتعلق بالفنون وبالتالي تم الخروج بعدة توصيات منها التعاون بين الوزارات المعنية لتكثيف الجهود لتوعية المجتمع في مناطق المملكة بأهمية الفنون، واقتراح دراسات تجريبية لأثر الفنون على تعلم الأطفال. This study aimed to reveal the attitudes of pre-service teachers about the importance of teaching arts based on the standards of the NAEYC, as well as the obstacles that limit the quality of teaching. It also sought to reveal the statistically significant differences about the importance of teaching arts, which are attributed to the variable of the geographical area in which the university is located and the number of arts courses. To achieve the goals, a survey was built according to the NAEYC standards. A number of (446) students answered the survey. The results showed the students’ agreement degree was high about the importance of teaching arts, as well as there were number of obstacles. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences due to the variable of the geographical area and the number of arts courses. Therefore, a number of proposals and recommendations were presented. (Published abstract)
