This chapter examines the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in contemporary education, emphasizing its implications for teaching, learning, and educational governance. It explores how AI-driven technologies are reshaping pedagogical practices, enhancing personalized learning, and supporting data-informed decision-making within educational institutions. The chapter adopts an analytical and conceptual approach, drawing on recent theoretical frameworks and global educational trends to highlight both the opportunities and challenges associated with integrating AI into educational systems. Special attention is given to the evolving role of teachers in AI-supported learning environments, where digital competence, ethical awareness, and continuous professional development are essential. The chapter also addresses critical issues related to data privacy, equity, accessibility, and the risk of widening digital divides, particularly in developing and crisis-affected contexts. By linking educational research with practical applications, the chapter underscores the necessity of aligning AI adoption with pedagogical objectives, human values, and sustainable development goals. The chapter concludes by advocating for a balanced and responsible integration of artificial intelligence in education—one that supports innovation while safeguarding educational ethics, learner autonomy, and social justice. It offers insights relevant to educators, researchers, policymakers, and institutions seeking to harness AI as a tool for educational improvement rather than a substitute for human judgment and pedagogical expertise.
