هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مدى ملاءمة النموذج العاملي المقترح لمقياس الاستمتاع المتعدد الأبعاد لبيانات أفراد عينة الدراسة، وكذلك التعرف على الفروق بين متوسطات درجات أفراد عينة الدراسة على مقياس الاستمتاع تبعا لأثر متغير الجنس، والعمر الزمني والمستوى التعليمي للوالدين. اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي (السببي - المقارن)، وتكونت العينة من (250) أما وأبا من والدي الطلبة ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية. تراوحت أعمارهم الزمنية بين (20-47) سنة، بمتوسط عمري (34.51) سنة وانحراف معياري (6.768) سنة، وبواقع (118 آباء، 132 أمهات). تمثلت أداة الدراسة في مقياس الاستمتاع لوالدي الطلبة ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية (إعداد الباحث). أظهرت النتائج أن النموذج العاملي المقترح لمقياس الاستمتاع المتعدد الأبعاد مطابق بدرجة مقبولة لبيانات أفراد عينة الدراسة، وكذلك عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطي درجات عينة الدراسة في الدرجة الكلية لمقياس الاستمتاع وعوامله الفرعية تبعا لاختلاف الجنس والمستوى التعليمي للوالدين، ووجود فرق دال إحصائيا عند مستوى دلالة (0.001) بين متوسطي درجات أفراد عينة الدراسة في مقياس الاستمتاع وعوامله الفرعية تُعزى للعمر الزمني للوالدين (20-30 سنة،31-40 سنة) لصالح العمر الزمني (31-40 سنة)، وتبعا لاختلاف العمر الزمني للوالدين (20-30 سنة، 41 سنة فأعلى) لصالح العمر الزمني (41 سنة فأعلى)، وتبعا لاختلاف العمر الزمني (31-40 سنة، 41 سنة فأعلى) لصالح العمر الزمني (41 سنة فأعلى). The study aimed to reveal the suitability of the proposed factor model for the multidimensional savoring scale to the data of the study sample members, as well as to identify the differences between the average scores of the study sample members on the savoring scale according to the effect of the variable gender, chronological age, and educational level of the parents. The study relied on the descriptive (causal) approach. The sample consisted of (250) mothers and fathers of students with intellectual disabilities. Their chronological ages ranged between (20-47) years, with an average age of (34.51) years and a standard deviation of (6.768) years, with (118 parents, 132 mothers), and the study tool was the Savoring scale for parents of students with intellectual disabilities prepared by the researcher. The results showed that the proposed factor model for the multidimensional savoring scale matches to an acceptable degree the data of the study sample members, as well as the absence of statistically significant differences between the average scores of the study sample in the total score. For the savoring scale and its sub-factors depending on the difference in gender and educational level of the parents, and the presence of a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.001) between the average scores of the study sample members on the savoring scale and its sub-factors due to the chronological age of the parents (20-30 years, 31-40 years) in favor of chronological age.
