يهدف البحث التعرف على مستوى المهارات العقلية لدى طلة المرحلة الإعدادية من خلال الإجابة على الأسئلة التالية: هل هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى المهارات العقلية لدى طلبة المرحلة الاعدادية تبعاً لمتغيري الجنس والتخصص. واقتصر البحث على طلبة المرحلة الإعدادية العلمي والأدبي في مدارس منطقة سليمان بيك للعام الدراسي (2020-2021) وتضمنت عينة البحث (65) طالبا وطالبة موزعين على مدرستين، مدرسة للبنات ومدرسة للبنين. ولتحقق هدف البحث أعدت الباحثة اختبار المهارات العقلية وتم التحقق من صدق الاختبار بالاعتماد على (الصدق الظاهري). أما الثبات فتم حسابه بطريقة إعادة الاختبار لكل اختبار، وعولجت البيانات إحصائيا باستخدام الحقيبة الإحصائية (Spss). أظهرت النتائج ما يلي: 1) لا توجد فروق ذو دلالة إحصائية في مستوى المهارات العقلية لدى أفراد العينة تبعا لمتغير الجنس. 2) توجد فروق ذو دلالة احصائية في مستوى المهارات العقلية لدى أفراد العينة تبعا لمتغير التخصص لصالح التخصص العلمي. وفي ضوء النتائج توصلت الباحثة إلى مجموعة من التوصيات منها: 1) توجيه مدرسي ومدرسات المرحلة الإعدادية على العناية والاهتمام بالمهارات العقلية ومهارات التفكير لدى طلبتهم وتشجيعهم على ممارستها. 2) ضرورة إقامة مديرية الإعداد والتدريب في مديريات التربية دورات تدريبية لمدرسي ومدرسات المرحلة الابتدائية بالأخص والمرحلة الثانوية على استراتيجيات تعليم التفكير وتدريب الطلبة على مهارات التفكير. Mental skills are a group of performances that are highly related, whether in the field of study or work, in achieving his future goals in light of his previous experiences and reference frame. The research aims to identify the level of mental skills of middle school students. It answers the following questions: Are there statistically significant differences in the level of mental skills of middle school students according to the variables of sex and specialization? The research was limited to students of the scientific and literary preparatory stage in the schools of Soliman- Bek district for the academic year (2020-2021). The research sample included (56) students divided into two schools, a girls ’school and a boys’ school. To achieve the research goal, the researcher prepared the following test: 1) Preparing mental skills tests. The validity of the test was verified by relying on (apparent validity), as for consistency, it was calculated by re-testing for each test, and the data were statistically treated using the statistical bag (Spss) and the results showed the following: 1) There are no statistically significant differences in the level of mental skills of the sample members according to the gender variable. 2) There are statistically significant differences in the level of mental skills among the sample members according to the variable of specialization in favor of the scientific specialization. In light of the results, the researcher reached a set of recommendations, including: 1) Directing middle school teachers to pay attention to the mental and thinking skills of their students and encouraging them to practice them. 2) The need for the directorate of preparation and training in the education directorates to establish training courses for primary and secondary school teachers on strategies for teaching thinking and training students in thinking skills.
