يهدف البحث إلى وضع تصور مقترح للحفاظ على الطبقة الوسطى من التآكل والانكماش والانقراض (من 51% عام 2005 إلى 36 عام 2016) في ظل التحديات الداخلية والخارجية التي تواجه المجتمع المصري في عصر العولمة. وتحددت مشكلة الدراسة في التساؤل الرئيس التالي: ما دور التربية في الحفاظ على الطبقة الوسطى في المجتمع المصري؟ واستعانت الدراسة بالمنهج الوصفي وأدواته المختلفة في عملية تحديد مفهوم الطبقة الوسطى، وتقسيماتها المختلفة، والتطور التاريخي التي مرت به عالميا وفي مصر بدءا من عصر محمد علي حتى الآن، كما تم جمع وتحليل وتفسير النتائج الخاصة بالطبقة الوسطي، كما اعتمدت على الجداول والبيانات الإحصائية التي تدعم تلك العمليات محليا وعالميا؛ وذلك لمنع سقوط شرائح الطبقة الوسطى إلى الطبقة الدنيا هذا من ناحية، ومن ناحية أخرى مساعدة شرائح الطبقة الوسطى إلى الوصول للطبقة العليا. وتوصلت إلى وضع تصورات خاصة بالمحافظة على الطبقة الوسطي بالتركيز على دور الدولة المصرية، ودور المؤسسات التعليمية، ودور مؤسسات المجتمع المدني، ودور رجال المال والأعمال؛ وذلك برفع جودة مستويات الآداء في التعليم المصري، وتسريع برنامج التنمية الصحية الشاملة، وتوفير السكن الملائم، وتفعيل دور الإعلام التربوي والتنموي، وزيادة مساهمة رجال المال والأعمال في الاستثمار في مشاريع تنموية في الريف والحضر لأبناء الطبقة الوسطى. The study aims to provide a proposed a framework for preserve the middle class from erosion, contraction and extinction (from 51% in 2005 to 36% in 2016) in light of the internal and external challenges facing the Egyptian society in the era of globalization. To solve the study problem, the following key question was answered: What is the role of education in preserving the middle class in the Egyptian society? The study adopted the descriptive approach and its various tools to determine the concept of the middle class, its different divisions and historical development globally and in Egypt, from the era of Muhammad Ali till now. Results related to the middle class were collected, analyzed and interpreted using statistical methods that support these processes locally and globally so as to prevent the fall of the middle-class segments into the lower classes and to help these segments to reach the upper classes. The study proposed a framework for the preservation of the middle class by focusing on the role of the Egyptian State, educational institutions, the civil society institutions, and businessmen in enhancing the quality of performance levels of Egyptian education, accelerating the comprehensive health development program, providing adequate housing, and activating the role of educational and developmental media, and increasing the contribution of businessmen in investment in rural and urban development projects for the middle class.
