يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على النهوض الأكاديمي وعلاقته بالتفكير الناقد لدى طلبة الجامعة. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة فقد اتبع الباحثان خطوات المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي من خلال تحديد مجتمع البحث المتمثل بطلبة جامعة بغداد للتخصصات العلمية والإنسانية ولكلا الجنسين للعام (2021-2022). اختار الباحثان عينة طبقية عشوائية من مجتمع البحث بحجم (500) طالب وطالبة من كلا الجنسين ومن التخصصات العلمية والإنسانية، ولجمع البيانات من عينة الدراسة تبنى الباحثان مقياسي البحث الحالي واستخرج لهما مجموعة من الخصائص السايكومترية الأساسية (الصدق والثبات)، وبعد الاطمئنان إلى تلك الخصائص تم تطبيق أداتا البحث على العينة البحثية. توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية: 1) هنالك مستوى من النهوض الأكاديمي لدى طلبة الجامعة. 2) توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في النهوض الأكاديمي لدى طلبة الجامعة على وفق متغير الجنس ولصالح الإناث. 3) وجود مستويات من التفكير الناقد لدى طلبة الجامعة. 4) وجود فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية في التفكير الناقد لدى طلبة الجامعة على وفق متغير الجنس ولصالح الذكور. 5) هنالك علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين النهوض الأكاديمي والتفكير الناقد لدى طلبة الجامعة. This research aims to identify the academic advancement and its relationship to the critical thinking of university students. In order to achieve the objectives of This study, the researcher followed the steps of the descriptive correlative approach by defining the research community represented by the students at the University of Baghdad for the scientific and humanitarian disciplines and for both sexes for the year (2021-2022). Among the scientific and humanitarian disciplines, and in order to collect data from the study sample, the researcher adopted the two current research scales and extracted for them a set of basic psychometric characteristics (reliability and stability) and after reassurance of those characteristics, the two research tools were applied to the research sample and the study reached the following results: 1) There is a level of academic advancement for university students. 2) There are statistically significant differences in the academic advancement of university students according to the gender variable and in favor of females. 3) There is a level of critical thinking among university students. 4) There are statistically significant differences in the critical thinking of university students according to the gender variable and in favor of males. 5) There is a statistically significant relationship between academic advancement and critical thinking among university students.
