هدفت الدراسة إلى توضيح الأسس النظرية والمفاهيمية للقيادة الخادمة من حيث (نشأتها – أهدافها – أهميتها – أبعادها – خصائصها – آليات وأساليب تطبيقها – المميزات – العيوب)، وتحليل واقع القيادة بالمدارس الثانوية العامة في مصر من خلال دراسة اللوائح والقوانين والأدبيات والدراسات السابقة. ثم عرض مجموعة من المقترحات لتطبيق القيادة الخادمة بالمدارس الثانوية العامة وتحديد آليات تطبيقها من أجل الإفادة منها في تطوير القيادات بالمدارس. وقد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي لملاءمته لطبيعتها، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، منها وجود بعض المشكلات التي تعاني منها القيادة بالتعليم الثانوي والتي تتمثل في سيادة فكرة القائد الأوحد، والاعتماد على العمل الفردي، وغياب روح الفريق والعمل الجماعي، وضعف المشاركة في صنع القرارات من قبل العاملين، هذا بالإضافة إلى وجود النزعة التسلطية لدى بعض المديرين في إدارة شئون المدرسة. The study aimed to clarify the theoretical and conceptual foundations of servant leadership, namely: (Its origins – objectives – importance – dimensions – characteristics – mechanisms and methods of application – advantages – disadvantages), and to analyze the reality of leadership in general secondary schools in Egypt by studying regulations, laws, literature, and previous studies. Then, presenting a group of proposals for the application of servant leadership in general secondary schools and determining the mechanisms for its application in order to benefit from it in the development of leaders in general secondary schools in Egypt. The study used the descriptive Methodology due to its relevance to its nature. The study reached several results, from which: the presence of some problems that the leadership suffers from in secondary education, which represented in the supremacy of the idea of the one leader and dependence on individual work and the absence of team spirit and teamwork, the weak participation of workers in decision – making, in addition to the presence of authoritarian tendency among some managers in the management of school affairs. The study recommended that there is a need to strengthen the practice of servant leadership, and educate school principals and their employees about the characteristics of servant leadership and its dimensions by designing appropriate training programs to develop servant leadership skills in its various dimensions, as well as focusing on holding seminars and lectures for principals and teachers to clarify the importance of servant leadership and its superior ability to provide a positive and supportive organizational climate for all employees of the school.
