هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن اتجاهات الشباب السوري نحو عملية التحديث، علاقتها بعض المتغيرات النفسية والشخصية، كمفهوم الذات، وسمات الشخصية الانبساطية والعصابية، ومركز الضبط الداخلي والخارجي، والفروق بين الجنسين والمهنة والعمر. تكونت العينة من (600) شابا وشابة، تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية، ممن يعملون في قطاعات مختلفة (أطباء، مهندسون، طلبة جامعة، أعمال حرة، مدرسون)، تراوحت أعمارهم الزمنية بين (20- 40) سنة. وقد استخدم الباحث مجموعة من المقاييس: مقياس المظاهر النفسية للتحديث إعداد الباحث، ومقياس الشخصية لـ إيزنك، ومقياس مفهوم الذات، ومركز الضبط الداخلي والخارجي. أسفرت الدراسة النتائج التالية: أن (68.6) من أفراد العينة لديهم اتجاهات إيجابية نحو مظاهر التحديث النفسي مقابل (31.4) لديهم اتجاهات سالبة، مع وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة ودالة بين مظاهر التحديث وكل من مفهوم الذات والانبساطية والتحكم الداخلي، وعلاقة سالبة مع العصابة والتحكم الخارجي، وأن الشباب الذين لديهم رؤية إيجابية نحو التحديث والتطوير تسمت شخصيتهم بالانفتاح على الذات والآخرين، ومفهوم ذات إيجابي، وقدرة على الضبط الداخلي مقارنة بالأفراد الذين حصلوا على درجات متدنية في مقياس التحديث. كما أشارت النتائج إلى أن اتجاهات الذكور في متغيرات أخرى، وأن المعلمين وطلبة الجامعة كانوا أكثر ميلا للتحديث والتطوير من باقي الفئات الأخرى من الشباب الذين شملتهم عينة البحث، كما كانت اتجاهات الشباب في الفئة العمرية الأصغر سنا أكثر إيجابية نحو التحديث والتطوير بالمقارنة مع الفئة العمرية الأكبر سنا. This study aims to reveal the attitudes of youth towards the Syrian process of modernization, its relationship with some of the psychological and personal variables, such as: self-concept and personality traits, the status of internal control and external, and gender, profession and age. The samp1e consisted of (600) young men and women, selected randomly, who are working in different sectors (doctors, engineers, university students, business free, teachers), ages between the (20-40) years. The researcher used a set of measures: the measure of psychological manifestations of the update prepared by the researcher, and a measure of personality, the measure of self-concept, focuse control measure. The study drew the following conc1usions: that (68.6) of respondents have positive attitudes towards the psychological aspects of the update for (31.4) have negative trends, with a positive correlation between function and update all aspects of the concept of self-Anbsatip and internal control, and a negative correlation with neuroticism and external control. that young people who have a positive vision of modernization and development of their personality Tzmt openness to self and others, the concept of positive, and the ability of the internal control compared to individuals who have received low scores in the measurement update. The results also indicate that male attitudes are more likely to update from the females in some variables, and the superiority of. females to males in the other variables, and those teachers and students were more likely to modernization and development of the rest of the other categories of young people who were on the research sample, as was the attitudes of young people in category the younger age more positive towards modernization and development, compared with the older age group.
