هدفت الدراسة الكشف عن دور معلمي اللغة العربية في الحد من التسرب المدرسي لطلاب المرحلة الثانوية بمحافظة الفروانية بدولة الكويت من وجهة نظرهم. تكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع معلمي اللغة العربية بمدارس المرحلة الثانوية بمحافظة الفروانية والبالغ عددهم (295) معلما ومعلمة، وتم اختيار عينة الدراسة بصورة عشوائية وقد بلغ عددهم (100)، كما استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي باعتباره الأنسب في وصف وتحليل الظاهرة. توصلت النتائج أن دور معلمي اللغة العربية في الحد من ظاهرة التسرب المدرسي لدى طلابهم جاء بدرجة متوسطة، وأوصت الدراسة ضرورة الاهتمام بشكل خاص بحالات الغياب المتكرر ولمعرفه أسبابه وعلاجه، العمل على ربط الطلبة متكرري الغياب بالأنشطة المدرسية مثل لجنة النظام المدرسي، أو الإذاعة المدرسية، تنظيم دورات معلمي اللغة العربية في مجال الإرشاد التربوي والنفسي، ليكون لديهم المقدرة على التعامل مع حاجات الطلبة ومشاكلهم، إجراء مزيد من الدراسات حول ظاهرة التسرب المدرسي، العمل على إيجاد حوافز لمعلمي اللغة العربية بالمدارس التي تكون نسبة التسرب فيها أقل من المدارس الأخرى وتكريم معلميها. This study aimed to uncover the role of Arabic language teachers in reducing school dropout for high school students in Farwaniya Governorate, Kuwait, from their point of view. The study was randomized, and their number reached (100). The researcher also used the analytical descriptive method as it is the most appropriate in describing and analyzing the phenomenon. The results found that the role of Arabic language teachers in reducing the phenomenon of school dropout among their students was of a moderate degree, and the study recommended the need to pay special attention to cases of frequent absenteeism and to know its causes and treatment, to work on linking students with frequent absences to school activities such as the School System Committee, or the school radio, organizing Courses for Arabic language teachers in the field of educational and psychological counseling, so that they have the ability to deal with students' needs and problems, conduct more studies on the phenomenon of school dropout, work to find incentives for Arabic language teachers in schools where the dropout rate is lower than other schools, and honor their teachers.
