هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع استخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصال في التنمية المهنية للمعلمين بدولة الكويت، وذلك من خلال التعرف على كيفية استخدام كل من الحاسوب والتعلم الإلكتروني في التنمية المهنية للمعلمين، بالإضافة إلى دور تكنولوجيا الاتصال والمعلومات في التنمية المهنية لهم، ومميزات ومعوقات استخدامها، ومقترحات تحسين توظيفها في التنمية المهنية. واستخدام الباحث المنهج الوصفي وذلك لمناسبته لطبيعة وأهداف الدراسة. وتم تطبيق أداة الدراسة على عينة بلغت (45) معلما ومعلمة بمدارس المرحلة المتوسطة بدولة الكويت. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى رصد العديد من المميزات والأدوار والمعوقات لاستخدام تكنولوجيا الاتصال والمعلومات في التنمية المهنية للمعلمين بالإضافة إلى مقترحات تحسين استخدام تكنولوجيا الاتصال والمعلومات في التنمية المهنية بالنسبة لهم. This study aims to identify the reality of the use of information and communication technology in the professional development of teachers in Kuwait, through the identification of how to use all of the computer and e-learning professional development for teachers, in addition to the role of information and communication technology in the professional development of teachers, the advantages and constraints of use and proposals to improve employment in the professional development of teachers. The researcher used a descriptive approach and its relevance to the nature and objectives of the study. Tool was applied to study on a sample amounted to (45)a teacher and a middle school teacher school in Kuwait. The study came to monitor the many advantages, roles and constraints on the use of information and communication technology in the professional development of teachers as well as proposals to improve the use of information and communication technology in the professional development of teachers in Kuwait.
