حاولت الدراسة تنمية التفكير الناقد لدى طلاب الفرقة الثالثة كلية التربية شعبة اللغة الإنجليزية من خلال استخدام برنامج إلكتروني في الثقافة قائم على نظرية الوسائط المتعددة. تكونت العينة من 70 طالب وتم تقسيمهم الى مجموعتين: مجموعة ضابطة واخرى تجريبية. تم استخدام برنامج إلكتروني في الثقافة قائم على نظرية الوسائط المتعددة في تنمية التفكير الناقد للمجموعة التجريبية بينما المجموعة الضابطة تم تدريس بالطريقة التقليدية. شملت أدوات الدراسة اختبار التفكير الناقد واستبيان تحليل الاحتياجات. تمت الاختبارات القبلية والبعيدة للمجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة. من خلال استخدام التحليل الاحصائي المناسب تبين ان المجموعة التجريبية حصلت على درجات اعلى من المجموعة الضابطة في اختبار التفكير الناقد. نتائج الدراسة وضحت ان هناك فرق احصائي واضح لصالح المجموعة التجريبية بين متوسطات درجات المجموعة التجريبية والمجموعة الضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار التفكير الناقد. لذلك، ثبت فعالية استخدام برنامج إلكتروني في الثقافة قائم على نظرية الوسائط المتعددة لطالب كلية التربية شعبة اللغة الإنجليزية. تمت مناقشة النتائج وتقديم التوصيات المناسبة والمقترحات للابحاث القادمة. The study was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of using an e-program in culture based on multimodality in developing Faculty of Education English majors' critical thinking. Seventy students were selected from third-year English majors at Faculty of Education, Minia University. They were randomly divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was taught using the e-program in culture based on multimodality, while the control group received regular instruction. The experimental group and the control group were submitted to pre-testing and post-testing means of collecting data. The instruments of the study included a needs assessment questionnaire and a critical thinking test. Results of the study revealed that there was a significant statistical difference (favoring the experimental group) between mean scores obtained by the experimental and the control groups on the post-testing of the critical thinking test. The study concluded that the e-program in culture had a positive and high effect on improving students' critical thinking. Discussion of the findings, recommendations, and suggestions for further research were presented. (Published abstract)
