يسعى البحث إلى الوقوف على مدى اتسام أساليب التنشئة الاجتماعية التي تمارسها الأم بالعنف تجاه الأبناء، الذين تتراوح أعمارهم ما بين سن الثالثة ودون السادسة. وقد تم تحديد مجموعة من أنماط السلوك المخالف من قبل الأبناء ووضع تعريف إجرائي لها، وكذا أنماط عقاب الأم، يمكننا من الوقوف على طبيعة المادة الميدانية المطلوبة لهذه الدراسة وتصميم أداة جمع البيانات، واختيار عينة الدراسة. توصل البحث إلى وجود تقارب بين أنماط وأساليب التنشئة الاجتماعية التي تعرضت لها الأم في مرحلة الطفولة المبكرة، وبين ما مارسته تلك الأم من أنماط وأساليب للتنشئة الاجتماعية تجاه الإبن (الإبنة) في مرحلة الطفولة المبكرة، ولعل ذلك التقارب يعزز مقولة دورة العنف، وقد احتل نمط العقاب البدني المرتبة الأولى في عقاب الأم للإبن أو الإبنة، وجاء في المرتبة الثانية نمط العقاب اللفظي، وفي المرتبة الثالثة الخصام والإهمال. وهناك علاقة طردية بين اتجاه العقاب نحو التشدد والعنف وبين تصاعد حدة الخلافات الزوجية حتى أن (54.1%) من الزوجات ذكرن أن الخلافات مع الزوج كانت تجعلها تعامل الأبناء بقسوة غير ضرورية. The research seeks to determine the extent to which the mother's socialization methods are characterized by violence towards her children, whose ages range between three and under six. A set of patterns of offending behavior by children were identified and a procedural definition was put in place, as well as patterns of punishment for the mother. We can determine the nature of the field material required for this study, the design of the data collection tool, and the selection of the study sample. The research has concluded that there is a convergence between the patterns and methods of socialization that the mother was exposed to in the early childhood stage and the patterns and methods that the mother practices of the patterns and methods of socialization towards the son (daughter) in the early childhood stage. Perhaps this convergence reinforces the notion of the cycle of violence, and the pattern of corporal punishment ranked first in the mother’s punishment of the son or daughter, came in the second place the pattern of verbal punishment, and in the third place was strife and neglect. There is a direct relationship between the direction of punishment towards extremism and violence and the escalation of marital disputes, so that (54.1%) of the wives stated that the disputes with the husband made them treat the children with unnecessary cruelty.
