يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على المفاهيم المتعلقة بالحاسوب لدى عضو هيئة التدريس بالجامعة، والتعرف على المهارات المتعلقة بالحاسوب لدى عضو هيئة التدريس بالجامعة، وتكونت مجموعة البحث من (37) عضوا من أعضاء هيئة التدريس العاملين في ثلاث جامعات يمنية هي جامعة الحديدة وجامعة صنعاء وجامعة ذمار، فضلا عن بعض أعضاء هيئة التدريس من جنسيات غير عربية، واتبع البحث المنهج الوصفي، واعتمد الاستبيان أداة بحثية لهذا البحث؛ لمناسبته لتحقيق أهداف البحث، والإجابة عن أسئلته. وتوصل البحث إلى أن أعضاء هيئة التدريس يتفقون على اختلاف تخصصاتهم، على أن هناك جملة من المعارف والمهارات المتعلقة بالحاسوب والتعامل معه لا بد لعضو هيئة التدريس في الجامعة أن يمتلكها؛ كي تتحقق فيه إحدى متطلبات الجودة. وتوجد بعض المعارف والمهارات الحاسوبية ليس لها أهمية كبيرة بالنسبة إلى أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعة لندرة استخدامها أو قلة فائدتها بالنسبة إلى العملية التعليمية. ولا يختلف أعضاء هيئة التدريس حول الجوانب المعرفية والمهارات التي ينبغي لعضو هيئة التدريس في الجامعة أن يمتلكها باختلاف تخصصاتهم. The research aims to identify the computer-related concepts of a faculty member at the university, and to identify the computer-related skills of a faculty member at the university. The research group consisted of (37) faculty members working in three Yemeni universities; Hodeida University, Sana'a University, and Thamar University, as well as some non-Arab faculty members. The research has adopted the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire was used as a research tool for this research. For its suitability to achieve the objectives of the research and answer his questions, the research concluded that faculty members of different disciplines agree that there is a set of computer-related knowledge and skills that a faculty member at the university must possess. In order to meet one of the quality requirements, there are some computer knowledge and skills that are not of great importance to faculty members at the university due to their scarcity of use or lack of usefulness in the educational process. The faculty members do not disagree about the aspects of knowledge and skills that a faculty member at the university should possess, according to their specializations. (Published abstract)
