The aim of this research was to identify the relationship between social anxiety and the family quality of life among the Saudi Arabian university students. This study is also aimed to investigate the differences in the level of family quality of life and social anxiety according to the following variables: (birth order - family economic status). The research sample was (415) female students, and the researchers used the descriptive approach (correlative and comparative) to collect data. Results revealed that there was a statistically significant negative relationship between family quality of life and social anxiety. There was statistically significant difference on the quality-of-life sub scales (emotional wellbeing and family interaction) for the middle child, a statistically significant difference on quality of life related to the high economic status. Moreover, this research found that the oldest child has a statistically significant highest level of social anxiety compared to other berth orders. No statistically significant differences were detected on social anxiety due to the family economic status. The researchers recommend beginning the university counseling centers to navigate the impact of COVID-19 on mental health. (Published abstract)
