تتمتع دولة نيجيريا بكثافة السكان، والخيرات والثروات المعدنية، والزعامة والريادة لعموم دول إفريقيا، الأمر الذي جعلها موضع اهتمام للسياسة الدولية، والاعتبار الهام لدى المجتمع الدولي، ومن أهم ما تتميّز به هذه الدولة عنايتها بالتعليم، ووفرة الجامعات الحكومية والأهلية في ولاياتها، ومن بين هذه الجامعات من تهتمّ بالدراسات الإسلامية واللغة العربية، وتهتمّ إضافة إلى ذلك بإنشاء مراكز البحوث التي تُعنى بالإسلاميات وشئون المسلمين، وهذه المراكز قدّمت ولا تزال تقدّم دورا فاعلا في المضي قدما بعجلة الدين الإسلامي. ومن الأهمية بمكان رصد جهود مراكز البحوث الإسلامية النيحيرية وتحليلها وتقويمها، تعزيزا للمستوى الإيجابي منها، وتفاديا للمثالب والسلبيات التي قد تكمن فيها، وتهدف هذه الورقة إلى إبراز المجهودات الجبارة التي تقوم بها مراكز البحوث الإسلامية في نيجيريا، وحصر هذه المراكز وبيان الأهداف من إنشائها وتقويم أعمالها وتحليلها، ثم تقديم الحلول للمشكلات التي تعاني منها تلك المراكز في تسيير برامجها؛ رجاء تطوير أدائها، وإجادة فعاليات برامجها، والله الموفق وهو الهادي إلى سواء السبيل. Nigeria is a blessed worthy country with population density and mineral resources as well ae leadership and pioneering over the whole African countries, it has special regard and consideration in international community. Indeed, the qualitative education and establishing numerous universities are among the priorities of this country. There were several Nigerian universities which concern of Islamic studies and knowledge of Arabic language. Therefore, research centers for Islamic studies are many there into. Certainly, monitoring the efforts of these research centers as well as making analysis and evaluation on them would be very beneficial area of research. As a result of this, the paper aims to highlight the efforts of Islamic research centers in Nigerian universities towards the development of education and humanity, it will also emphasize on their historical background, and possible solutions of the problems they are facing, hopefully by using all what was indicated in the paper, the standards of these centers would be enhanced.
