هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن اتجاهات الطلبة العمانيين نحو دور الاقتصاد الأزرق في تحقيق الاستدامة البحرية في سلطنة عمان، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي من خلال تطبيق مقياس اتجاه على عينة بلغت (120) طالباً وطالبة، بهدف معرفة اتجاهاتهم، ومدى واستعدادهم للمشاركة في الأنشطة المرتبطة بالاقتصاد الأزرق. وأظهرت النتائج أن الطلبة لديهم اتجاهات إيجابية مرتفعة نحو مفهوم وأهمية الاقتصاد الأزرق، وتأثيره على الاستدامة البحرية، مما يعكس وعيًا متزايدًا مدعومًا بالمناهج التعليمية والمبادرات الوطنية التي تركز على استدامة الموارد البحرية والتنمية الاقتصادية المتوازنة. كما بينت الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في اتجاهات الطلبة بناءً على ارتباطهم المباشر بالمهن البحرية في أسرهم، في حين لم تُظهر فروقًا حسب الجنس. وتعكس هذه النتائج الدعم الوطني الكبير الذي توليه السلطنة للاقتصاد الأزرق من خلال مشاريع الاستزراع السمكي، وتطوير الموانئ، والاستثمار في الطاقة المتجددة، مما يعزز فرص التنمية المستدامة ويحفز مشاركة الشباب في هذا القطاع الحيوي. وأوصت الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات لتعزيز دور الاقتصاد الأزرق في التعليم والمجتمع منها: استثمار الخلفيات الأسرية في تصميم برامج تعليمية وتدريبية تستهدف الطلبة ذوي الصلة المباشرة بالمهن البحرية، وتعزيز البرامج التعليمية والتوعوية في المدارس والجامعات حول الاقتصاد الأزرق وأهميته في الاستدامة البحرية. The study seeks to reveal the trends of Omani students towards the role of the blue economy in achieving marine sustainability in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve this goal, the descriptive curriculum was used by applying a trend scale to a sample of (120) students, in order to find out their trends, extent and willingness to participate in activities related to the blue economy. The results showed that students have high positive attitudes towards the concept and importance of the blue economy and its impact on marine sustainability, reflecting a growing awareness supported by educational curricula and national initiatives focused on the sustainability of marine resources and balanced economic development. The study also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the attitudes of students based on their direct association with maritime professions in their families, while no differences by gender were shown. These results reflect the great national support that the Sultanate attaches to the blue economy through fish farming projects, port development, and investment in renewable energy, which enhances sustainable development opportunities and stimulates the participation of young people in this vital sector. The study recommended several recommendations to enhance the role of the blue economy in education and society, including investing family backgrounds in the design of educational and training programs targeting students directly related to maritime professions, and enhancing educational and awareness programs in schools and universities about the blue economy and its importance in maritime sustainability.
