هدف البحث إلى رفع مستوى التلاميذ المعاقين ذهنيا القابلين للتعلم بمدارس التربية الفكرية في المهارات الحسابية وجودة الحياة، واشتملت عينة البحث على (12) تلميذ وتلميذة معاق ذهنيا بالصف السادس الابتدائي، حيث كان عدد تلاميذ المجموعة التجريبية (7) تلاميذ، وعدد تلاميذ المجموعة الضابطة (5) تلاميذ، وتكونت أدوات ومواد البحث من اختبار المهارات الحسابية، ومقياس جودة الحياة، وبرنامج قائم على نظرية العبء المعرفي، وكشفت النتائج أن نظرية العبء المعرفي حققت فاعلية في تنمية المهارات الحسابية وجودة الحياة لدى عينة البحث. The research aimed to raise the level of intellectually disabled capable of learning pupils in intellectual education schools in arithmetic skills and quality of life. The research sample consisted of (12) intellectually disabled male and female pupils from the sixth grade. The experimental group included seven pupils, while the control group consisted of five pupils. The research tools and materials consisted of an arithmetic skills test, a quality-of-life scale, and a program based on cognitive load theory. The results of the research revealed that the cognitive load theory has been effective in developing arithmetic skills and quality of life among the research sample. (Published abstract)
