يهدف البحث إلى الكشف عن العلاقة الإرتباطية بين الأسلوب المعرفي والكفاءة الذاتية لدى عينه من طلبة كليتي التربية والعلوم بجامعة دمشق، إضافة إلى الكشف عن الفروق بين الأسلوب المعرفي والكفاءة الذاتية تبعا لمتغيرات البحث (الجنس، نوع الكلية، ترتيب الفرد بين إخوته)، وتكونت عينة البحث من (287) طالبا وطالبة في السنة الرابعة من طلبة معلم الصف في كلية التربية بجامعة دمشق ومن (324) طالبا وطالبة في السنة الرابعة من طلبة الجيولوجيا كلية العلوم بجامعة دمشق، وقد إستخدم مقياس الأسلوب المعرفي من إعداد بلاكبورن وجونس ولوين (Blacburn, jones and Lewin) ومقياس الكفاءة الذاتية من إعداد جيروزيلم وشوارزر (jerusalem and Schwarzer) وتوصل البحث إلى النتائج الآتية: 1) وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0،05) بين الأسلوب المعرفي والكفاءة الذاتية. 2) عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0،05) بين متوسطات درجات الطلبة أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس الأسلوب المعرفي ومقياس الكفاءة الذاتية تبعا لمتغير الجنس ونوع الكلية. 3) وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0،05) بين متوسطات درجات الطلبة أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس الأسلوب المعرفي تبعا لمتغير ترتيب الفرد بين إخوته (الأول، وسط، الأخير). 4) عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0،05) بين متوسطات درجات الطلبة أفرادعينة البحث على مقياس الكفاءة الذاتية تبعا لترتيب الفرد بين إخوته (الأول، وسط، الأخير. The research aims to reveal the correlational relationship between cognitive method and personal efficiency for a sample of students from both the education and the sciences faculties. The research also reveals the differences between cognitive method efficiency and personal efficiency according to the research variables (sex - faculty - subject’s number among his/her siblings). The research sample consisted of 287 forth-year students of class-teacher department in the education faculty in Damascus University, and 324 forth year students of the sciences faculty at Damascus University. Blaeburn, Jones and Lewin’s scale of cognitive method and Jerusalem and schwarzer’s scale of personal efficiency were used to reach the following results: 1) there is a correlational relationship with a statistical significance at (0.05) level between cognitive style and personal efficiency. 2) There are no differences of statistical significance at (0.05) level between the students' grades rates on the cognitive style and personal efficiency scales according to the sex and faculty variables. 3) There are differences with a statistical significance at (0.05) level between the students' grades rates on the cognitive style and personal efficiency scales according to the subject’s number among his/her siblings variable (first, middle, last). There are no differences with a statistical significance at (0.05) level between the students' grades rates on the personal efficiency scale according to the subject’s number among his/her siblings (first, middle, last).
