هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر نموذج هوكينز في تحصيل طالبات الصف الثامن الأساسي في مادة العلوم واكتساب عمليات العلم؛ ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة اعتُمد المنهج التجريبي ذو التصميم شبه التجريبي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (53) طالبةً من طالبات الصف الثامن الأساسي في مدرسة الحسا الثانوية المختلطة التابعة لمديرية التربية والتعليم في محافظة الطفيلة بالأردن خلال الفصل الدراسي الثاني من العام 2021-2022، وتم اختيار الشعبة (أ) عشوائياً لتمثل المجموعة التجريبية ليتم تدريسها وفق نموذج هوكينز وعدد أفرادها (27) طالبة، والشعبة (ب) المجموعة الضابطة وعدد أفرادها (26) طالبة، والتي دُرِّست وفق الطريقة الاعتيادية، وتم إعداد أدوات الدراسة، وهي دليل المعلم وفق نموذج هوكينز، واختبار تحصيلي خاص بالوحدتين "علوم الأرض والحرارة"، واختبار لعمليات العلم، وقد تم التحقق من صدق الأدوات وثباتها، وتم تطبيق الأدوات على أفراد الدراسة قبلياً وبعدياً، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن استخدام نموذج هوكينز له فاعلية في تحصيل الطالبات وتنمية عمليات العمل لديهم. وأوصت الدراسة باستخدام نموذج هوكينز في تدريس العلوم؛ لما له من أثر إيجابي في رفع التحصيل واكتساب عمليات العلم، ودراسة أثره في تدريس العلوم للصفوف الأساسية الدنيا، ودراسة أثره في متغيرات أخرى. The study aimed to identify the impact of the Hawkins model on the achievement of eighth grade students in science and their acquisition of science processes. To achieve the goal of the study, the experimental approach with a quasi-experimental design was adopted, as the number of study members was (53) participants from the eighth grade students at Al-Hasa Mixed Secondary School of the Directorate of Education Tafila in Jordan during the second semester of the year 2021-2022, and the division was chosen ( A) To represent the experimental group to be taught according to the Hawkins model and the number of its members (27) students, and the group (B) the control group and the number of its members (26) students, which were taught according to the usual method, the researcher prepared a special guide for the teacher according to the Hawkins model, and made an achievement test for the two units "Earth and heat sciences" and a test of science processes after verifying the validity and reliability of the study tools, and after applying the study, the results showed that the use of the Hawkins model is effective in the achievement of students and the development of their work processes. And in light of these results, some recommendations and suggestions were presented, the most important of which are taking into account the use of Hawkins model in teaching science because of its impact on raising achievement and acquiring science processes, and inviting researchers to study the effect of teaching using the Hawkins model in teaching science to lower basic grades.
